This is the second post in the µFerris & Xiao BSP series. If you haven't yet, start with Getting Started with µFerris & Xiao where we assembled the board, set up the toolchain, and blinked an LED. Thi

Thanks Omar for fixing the bsp crate it works well now. I have a question on the the 7 segment display. When i run the code for the Light Intensity Reading Example all works well. The 7 segment displays the values correctly, but some of the other segments seem to be half on making it hard to read the correct value. Is this normal ?

Interesting when i commented out all the write_seven_segments with the some digits except one, in this case the second digit, the second digit worked fine, but also the 3rd digit lit up with the same digit but slightly dimmer. It followed the same pattern of always lighting up the digit after the one chose with a dimmer version. for _ in 0..250 { uferris.write_seven_segment_digit(SevenSegDigit::Digit1, None).unwrap(); //uferris.write_seven_segment_digit(SevenSegDigit::Digit1, Some(digits[0])).unwrap(); delay.delay_ms(1); uferris.write_seven_segment_digit(SevenSegDigit::Digit2, None).unwrap(); uferris.write_seven_segment_digit(SevenSegDigit::Digit2, Some(digits[1])).unwrap(); delay.delay_ms(1); uferris.write_seven_segment_digit(SevenSegDigit::Digit3, None).unwrap(); // uferris.write_seven_segment_digit(SevenSegDigit::Digit3, Some(digits[2])).unwrap(); delay.delay_ms(1); uferris.write_seven_segment_digit(SevenSegDigit::Digit4, None).unwrap(); // uferris.write_seven_segment_digit(SevenSegDigit::Digit4, Some(digits[3])).unwrap(); delay.delay_ms(1); } Regards, R

Hello, it seems your sequence is off. You are blanking and then activating. It should be more like:

Some(value) // Activate value on seven segment
Delay // Keep it on for some time
None // Blank

Thank you , that worked

Hi, i am using a xiao-esp32c6 board and i am receiving conflicts between uferris-bsp v0.2.0 and the esp hal 1.2. It suggested to change the esp-hal to ~1.1 which i did and know i get different dependency issue with esp-stoarge and esp-bootloader. Is this xiao-esp32c6 supported in the uferris-bsp?

Hello Robert, yes it is, what you are seeing is probably because other dependencies follow the latest version of esp-hal. If you could please submit an issue on the BSP repo (https://github.com/uFerris-rs/uferris-bsp) to update the BSP to support the latest esp-hal and I'll get to it as soon as I can.

The BSP has been updated to fix the issue!
