Great breakdown of STAR. Three things that helped me most when I was prepping behavioral rounds: Build a small story bank (6-8 stories) and tag each one with the signals it shows: conflict, failure, ownership, ambiguity. Most questions are just a different door into the same handful of stories. Spend about 60% of the answer on the Action part and say "I", not "we". Interviewers are scoring your decisions, not the team's. Have one honest failure story where the Result is what you changed afterwards (a checklist, a test, a process), not just "I learned a lot". Recording yourself answering out loud once or twice catches the rambling fast. Disclosure: I work on Linkjob AI copilot, an interview prep assistant, and these are the patterns we see trip people up most.
