Good walkthrough of the manual setup. One thing worth adding for readers: this approach means you own the server, including Nginx config, certificate renewals, OS updates, security patches and backups. If you’d rather not handle that, a managed layer such as Cloudways, which runs on DigitalOcean and other clouds, takes care of the server side and leaves you to deploy the app. Which is better depends on how much of the ops work you want to own.
